The Melbourne Stars kick off their BBL 15 campaign against the 1-0 Hobart Hurricanes at the MCG.

Backing the historically unreliable Stars is never an enjoyable experience, but they’re the bet here at the MCG.
Home teams are dominating the competition at present, winning nine of the last ten games. The Hurricanes have also lost six of their last seven at the MCG, with the home side winning eight of the last nine games involving Hobart.
The green team also hold a good record over the ‘Canes, winning 14 off 22 overall including four of the last six.
The Stars enter this season with largely the same squad that squeezed into the finals in BBL 14, save for stalwarts Mitch Swepson and Liam Hatcher.
The Hurricanes scraped home in their opening match against a thin Thunder line-up, suggesting they may be slow starters in their title defence.
