BBL 14 Tips – Sydney Thunder v Melbourne Renegades

The Thunder finally get their first home game in Sydney but they face a tough test in the resurgent Renegades.

Melbourne Renegades
Head to Head

The Renegades were one of our pre-season picks to win BBL 14 and they continue to shorten in futures markets coming off two impressive wins.

Brown, Fraser-McGurk, Seifort, Bethall and Evans is as good a top five as any in this tournament, and the bowling contingent are getting the job done too, conceding just 74 and 143 in their last two matches.

The Thunder have been great too, sitting 2-1 with their only defeat coming against the unbeaten Sixers on the final ball, but they don’t have the quality through the XI of their opponents here.

Their record at home is also a worry, losing five straight at ENGIE Stadium, and six of their last seven as underdogs.

Expect the Renegades to pick up a third straight win here.

Best Bet

Tim Seifort
Over 20.5 Runs

This is a very generous line for one of the most in-form batters in BBL 14. The Kiwi has scored 55, 37* and 28 through three innings, top scoring for the ‘Gades in two of those knocks.

Value Bet

Tom Rogers
3+ Wickets

Rogers has had a sensational last two games, taking three poles in each match. The quicks have been doing the damage so far against the Thunder too, with only Usama Mir for the Stars taking multiple wickets.
