BBL 14 Tips – Hobart Hurricanes v Adelaide Strikers

Matthew Wade

The Hurricanes can solidify their position in the top four with a win over the 1-4 Hurricanes in Hobart tonight.

Hobart Hurricanes
Head to Head

The Hurricanes have a terrific record at home against the Strikers and they should comfortably get past their struggling opponents.

Entering this game on a three-game winning run, the ‘Canes have won four of their last five games against the Strikers in Hobart. The visitors have lost 12 of their last 16 on the road.

Despite their strong batting line-up, the 2-4 Strikers have been big disappointments this season. Without Rashid Khan, their bowling looks very thin leading to them conceding two of the top five highest totals this season. Captain Matt Short has missed the last two games with a broken toe and may not return for this clash.

These two teams met on December 27 in Adelaide with the Hurricanes running out winners after defending 214. Teams chasing have won 16 of 22 completed games in BBL 14 so it was a win full of merit.

The Hurricanes could regain ill skipper Nathan Ellis for this game and their well-rounded squad should be too good in this match-up.
