The Heat have it all to play for when they host the red hot Hurricanes on Wednesday night at the Gabba.
Head to Head
The Heat started as outsiders in this clash but have quickly and rightly been backed into favouritism.
Motivation levels will be poles apart here, with the Heat needing a win to maintain pace with the top four and the Hurricanes, coming off six straight wins, already locked in for finals.
The home side will be bolstered by the massive inclusions of Marnus Labuschagne and Usman Khawaja, while the Hurricanes will likely be without key players Ben McDermott, Chris Jordan, and Billy Stanlake.
The Heat have won six of nine against the Hurricanes, including the last two at the Gabba, and should be too good here.
Best Bet
The Aussie opener didn’t have a great summer with the willow but he has a terrific record at BBL level, especially at the Gabba, where he’s scored 20+ runs in eight of his last ten innings. He also averages 27.5 against the Hurricanes.
Value Bet
We’re going back to the well with the young Heat quick, who has taken 3+ wickets in four of his last seven BBL innings. He’s also taken two poles in each of his last two games against the Hurricanes.
