BBL 12 Tips – Perth Scorchers v Brisbane Heat

Cam Bancroft

The Scorchers will look to return to the winner’s list against the struggling Heat in Perth on Saturday night.

Best Bet

Perth Scorchers
Head-to-head

Perth remarkably dropped a home game against the Thunder on Wednesday but they’ll surely bounce back with a win over the 2-4 Heat.

The Scorchers’ loss to the Thunder was just their second in their last 19 games at Optus Stadium. In hindsight it was somewhat foreseeable given the Thunder’s great record over Perth, now winning four of their last five head-to-head and two of the last three out west.

The Scorchers have no such concerns with the Heat, who they’ve beaten in six of their last seven games. Brisbane have also lost 10 of their last 12 overall and their last four on the road.

They’ll likely lose Jhye Richardson to a hamstring injury for a few weeks but speedster Lance Morris is set to return from national duty. This should be a big win for the home team.

Next Best

Cam Bancroft
Over 20.5 Runs

Low runs line for the former Aussie opener who has a 46 and a 2 from his two BBL digs. He’s scored 20+ runs in 6 of his last 7 against the Heat and in 5 of his last 7 overall. It’s been a surprise not to see Bancroft until this point of the tournament given his terrific domestic form in the first half of the summer.

Value Bet

Ashton Turner
Player of the Match

Turner is on an absolute tear at present, especially at home, where he’s scored 20+ in four of his last five innings and 50+ in his last two. In the innings prior he made 48*. He’s in to the BBL top ten for runs scored this season and should take advantage of an ordinary Heat attack.
