The Hurricanes will be looking to end a shocking run on the road against the Renegades on Saturday evening.
Best Bet
The Renegades look the value against a Hobart team that just cannot win away matches.
The Hurricanes have lost six straight on the mainland including their last four as favourites. They’ve won all their home games this season and lost all their away games. They were a little unlucky to have the Strikers chase down 229 – the highest run chase in BBL history – in Adelaide last time out but it’s a record that cannot be ignored, especially at the short price.
The ‘Gades aren’t a great team, but they get a couple of good inclusions for this games in experienced spinner Fawad Ahmed and Marcus Harris. Shaun Marsh will miss with a hamstring injury.
There’s not a lot of confidence in either team, but at the price, the Renegades are the play.
Next Best
Jewell has brought some much-needed consistency to the Hurricanes’ top order since his return. He’s scored 20+ runs in three of his four appearances this season as well as half-centuries in his last two knocks. Should get the ‘Canes off to a solid start again.
Value Bet
Perhaps the best reason to back the Renegades in this fixture is the form of Aaron Finch at Marvel. Finchy has top scored for the ‘Gades in four straight at the venue, scoring 50s in his last three digs. Looks a great bet for hi bat and player of the match if you’re confident in the ‘Gades.
