Did Isaac Heeney and Nick Daicos do enough in Round 14 to pull away from the pack?

Best Bet
With no progress from the chasing pack despite Carlton having the bye, Patrick Cripps returns as my best bet due to the price we still get him at.
He’s still within striking distance of Isaac Heeney, who continues to play great footy but so do his teammates which could be at the Swan’s detriment, while Collingwood head into the bye which may see Daicos at a better price post Round 15. Cripps had a great game against the Cats when they met in Round 7 with 29 disposals and 2 goals – a replica of this will see him in the votes once again, and pushing that 20-vote mark with the two leaders.
Lay
Marcus Bontempelli has stormed into the Brownlow picture with two best-ons over the last three weeks, but I feel we will see the Bulldog at a better price after Round 15.
The Western Bulldogs have the bye which does play a significant role in the market – last week we saw Zach Merrett at $9.50 pre-bye and although the Bombers didn’t play, he’s now listed at $15.
Unsure whether Bont’s drift will be this aggressive, but we could see him in double-figures again pending performances of the likes of Merrett, Cripps, Serong and the Swans trio.
Value Bet
Must be considered value now considering the Dockers onballer has been cemented in our top-five all season.
Caleb Serong has had a quiet week by his lofty standards, but despite this he’s still edging Chad Warner and Zach Merrett out of the top-five – both players that are listed shorter than him in the market.
Needs a big performance in Round 15 and we may get it – the Dockers play the Suns in Perth, with Gold Coast’s travel woes well-documented. Serong recorded 37 touches when the two teams met last year, so we could see a return to form for the midfielder.
