Best Bet

Zak Butters (PA)
Brownlow Medal Winner 2023

It was another monster performance by Zak Butters which was enough to finish the season on top of our Brownlow Leaderboard.

The Port Adelaide star probably will be pipped for the three votes by teammate Connor Rozee, but expect Butters to poll the 2 with 30 disposals, 14 contested possessions, and a game-high 9 clearances.

The biggest concern for Butters will be his polling history which is non-existent, but in a team that won 17 games with Rozee being the only genuine vote stealer, there’s every chance we’ll see Butters take home Charlie going past Daicos in the final round of the season.

Lay

Christian Petracca (Mel)
Brownlow Medal Winner 2023

Was outstanding in Melbourne’s win on the weekend, but unlikely to poll maximum votes with Errol Gulden producing a monster 42-disposal and 2-goal performance.

There will be plenty of swing games for Petracca after the bye, where we don’t have him polling a single best-on-ground, with four 2-voters and a 1-voter in the last ten games. If he can convert those 2s into 3s on Brownlow Night he’s a definite show, but we’ve got him just off the pace from Butters, Daicos and Bontempelli.

Value Bet

Lachie Neale (BL)
Brownlow Medal Winner 2023

No issue with Lachie Neale’s ability to poll, and with the Lions winning 17 games there’s no doubt the Brisbane Lion will be in contention.

Unfortunately for Neale it was a very slow start to the season with just 3.5 votes from the first six games of the season, but after the bye we have him polling 13.5 votes – this includes a fairly cool five-game stretch between Rounds 18-22.

Probably has too much to do, but might be worth accessing on the night as to whether he’s a live play based on where he sits after Round 10.
