There’s no respite for the Eagles as they travel to Marvel Stadium to take on a Bulldogs outfit that look to have clicked into gear.

The Dogs earned some trust back last week with a dominant win over the Suns and should put a big number on the hapless Eagles at Marvel.
Luke Beveridge’s team piled on the pain in Ballarat, notching up 115 points in swirly conditions at their second home. There’s plenty of potential up forward for the Bulldogs, with Cody Weightman kicking a bag last week while Jamarra Ugle-Hagan and especially Aaron Naughton are yet to dominate a game in 2024.
They’ll get a great opportunity here against West Coast who are clearly the worst team in the competition again in 2024. The Eagles have given up 120 and 108 points in their two games this year and conceded 120 points on average interstate in 2023.
Without Oscar Allen and facing a sometimes sketchy Bulldog defence, it’s tough to say whether the visitors will kick a big enough score themselves to challenge a big line and total, but confidence levels are high that the home side can kick a monster tally themselves.
Same Game Multi
No need to overthink the goal-kickers here with the Dogs’ big three all likely to get on the end of a few in a big score.
Tom Liberatore had a slightly down game last week from a numbers perspective up against Matt Rowell but he won’t face the same challenge here. He’s had 25+ in eight of his last nine at Marvel.
JJ has thankfully returned to his natural role as a half-back distributor and has had 26 and 25 in his last two.
Value Bets
Naughton has looked off in his two games this season but he loves playing the Eagles, having kicked 4+ in his last three against the cellar dwellers.
