The Dogs have a strong record at their second home and are clearly the bet here.

They’ve won nine of eleven in Ballarat, covering the line in eight with an average winning margin of 25 points. Against top-ten teams, they’ve won and covered in five of six.

Luke Beveridge’s side continues to defy a lengthy injury list, comfortably beating GWS and St Kilda over the last two weeks. They’ve also faced a tough schedule, with no games against the current bottom five and four against the top nine.

Port have had a much softer draw, with five of their seven games coming against the current bottom seven. Their best win came against Hawthorn, but the Hawks are not playing to the same level as last year despite their 5-2 record.
