AFL Tips – Western Bulldogs v Fremantle – Round 14 2024

Western Bulldogs vs Fremantle Dockers - AFL Tips

The Bulldogs host Fremantle on Saturday afternoon at Marvel Stadium in a crucial game for both teams’ finals aspirations.

Best Bet

Fremantle +5.5
Line

The Dockers are simply more trustworthy than the Dogs at present and are the bet with nearly a goal start.

These two met in Round 7 in Perth with both teams at 3-3. After a close first three quarters, the home ran away with the win by 24 points.

They dominated the key stats, finishing +17 in clearances, +12 in contested possessions and +2 in inside 50s. Both teams were near full strength aside from Tom Liberatore for the Dogs and Jye Amiss for the Dockers.

Freo have been outstanding on the road lately, winning five straight in Victoria and covering the line in eight of their last nine outside WA.

They’re also off a bye which has been very beneficial this year. Teams coming off a bye are 6-2 against the line.

The Dogs are just impossible to pin down. After a very honourable loss against a rampant Sydney and a win over Collingwood, they barely fired a shot against Brisbane last week. They’ve failed to cover the line in each of their last five at home.

They’re also still missing both Aaron Naughton and Rory Lobb, which is a big worry against Freo’s elite key defenders.

With the away team covering in nine of the Dogs’ last ten games, take the Dockers here.

Same Game Multi

Fremantle +5.5, C.Serong & A.Brayshaw 25+ Disposals, A.Treloar 30+ Disposals, L.Jackson Anytime Goal

These teams are first and third for disposal differential and we have some very consistent players to include here.

Caleb Serong had 37 in Round 7 and 25+ in 17 straight on the road and Andrew Brayshaw has done the same in 27 of his last 29.

Adam Treloar has had 30+ in six straight.

The Dogs are missing Alex Keith so may struggle to contain Amiss, Treacy and Jackson, who kicked three last week and 2.2 against the Dogs in Round 7.

Value Bet

Caleb Serong
25+ Disposals

Serong circles this one in the calendar, racking up 35+ in three straight against the Dogs and 33 in the game prior.
