The Cats have dominated the Eagles in recent years and that trend looks set to continue.

Geelong have won five straight against West Coast with an average margin of 73 points. Three of those wins have been by more than 80 points.

Chris Scott’s side have also travelled well, covering the line in nine of their last eleven games outside Victoria. West Coast have struggled at home against quality opposition, covering in just four of twelve games at Optus Stadium against top eight teams and losing by an average of 40 points.

The ongoing absence of Jeremy McGovern leaves the Eagles exposed in defence. They have failed to cover in 14 of 20 games without him. The injury to Jake Waterman also seriously hurts their ability to score.
