AFL Tips – West Coast v Fremantle – Round 3 2022

West Coast have dominated their local rivals in recent years and this trend should continue.

Best Bet

West Coast -3.5 ($1.90)

Despite plenty of uncertainty over this game with covid and injuries the numbers point strongly towards West Coast.

The Eagles have not only won ten of the last eleven Derbies, they have covered the line in nine of them.

Both teams enter this game missing key personnel. But West Coast is certainly getting stronger this week with the return of Andrew Gaff, Jack Redden, Nic Naitinui and Josh Kennedy among others.

Of the Eagles 13 changes, 7 are omissions, which says this should be a much stronger side than that which faced North Melbourne last week.

Fremantle have lost Caleb Serong and Sean Darcy and the continued absence of Nat Fyfe and David Mundy hurts.

The Dockers got smashed out of the middle by St. Kilda last week and in the absence of Darcy, Nic Nat should put his midfield in prime position to do the same.

Same Game Multi

West Coast H2H / Neil Erasmus 20+ Disposals / Josh Kennedy 2+ Goals ($6.25)

Erasmus is on debut but has been a prolific ball winner at junior levels. He should see plenty of midfield time in absence of Serong, Mundy and Fyfe. Kennedy has kicked at least three in every Derby since the second of 207.

Value Bet

Josh Kennedy 4+ Goals ($5.40)

The Eagles spearhead saves his best for their local rivals. Over $5 for a bag looks nice value.
