Off the back of two insipid efforts it’s hard to back the Swans laying points to a Collingwood team still fighting for finals.
Getting embarrassed by the Dogs was one thing, but to be annihilated by Port off the back of that was a sign that things are seriously wrong in Sydney.
The Swans have too many of their good players out of form, especially their midfielders Isaac Heeney and Chad Warner. Sydney’s midfield doesn’t bat deep so if those two are off, the whole team struggles.
The continued absence of Tom Papley has hurt the side, and forwards like Logan McDonald and Joel Amartey struggle to impact the game without midfield dominance.
