Best Bet

Under 166.5 Points
Total Points

The under in Carlton games continues to be absolute money.

Thirteen of the Blues’ last 14 games have now failed to reach the total, with their 2025 games averaging just 150 points. At the MCG that drops to 143 points and for night games it’s just 146.

St Kilda games have been hard to get a handle on this year, but Ross Lyon proved last week against Fremantle that he is still capable of strangling an opposition, keeping the Dockers to just 33 points.

Both team could be without important forwards too. Charlie Curnow remains under an injury cloud for the Blues following a training collision with Tom De Konning, while Jack Higgins, who has quietly snuck into second on the Coleman Medal tally, could miss through illness.

With the last three between these teams also going under, for an average of just 140 points, expect a low-scoring contest on Friday night.

Same Game Multi

Under 165.5 Points, J.Macrae 25+ Disposals, M.McGovern 15+Disposals

A tricky game for player props as we aren’t expecting many goals and the Saints employ Marcus Windhager as a tagger, while George Hewitt often plays a defensive role.

Jack Macrae doesn’t do enough damage with his disposals to get much opposition attention. He’s averaging 28 touches a game this year and should rack up plenty of touches if this is a tight, contested game.

Mitch McGovern is Carlton’s primary kick-in taker and has had 15+ in each of his last five matches.

Value Bet

St Kilda 1-24
Margin

Carlton’s three wins this season have come against North, West Coast and Geelong, who they now have three straight wins against.

The Saints have been tricky to get a read on but have held their own around the ball and could be well placed to limit the Blues’ inside strength and edge out a tight win.

If Charlie Curnow doesn’t get up that would obviously be a big boost for St Kilda.
