Best Bet
The Swans are in freefall and can’t be trusted right now.
Last year’s Grand Finalists have covered the line in just two of their past eight games. Their last two outings were a 90-point belting from Adelaide and a 53-point loss to Melbourne at the MCG.
Dean Cox has problems all over the ground. Over the past five matches, the Swans rank in the bottom six for inside 50 differential, contested possession differential and scores from stoppages and turnovers.
Richmond are showing signs of life in a season many tipped to be winless. Tim Taranto and Jacob Hopper are enjoying their best stretch in yellow and black and the Tigers look a much stronger side when Tom Lynch, Toby Nankervis and Noah Balta are all out there, which should be the case this week.
The Tigers have won their last two against Sydney, including as 29-point underdogs in 2024. With showers forecast to keep things tight, Richmond look a solid bet to stay in the contest.
Same Game Multi
Expect Jordan to go to Taranto which should leave Jacob Hopper to continue his good run of form. He’s had 25+ in four of five at home.
Matt Roberts remains our favourite SGM booster. He’s had 20+ in ten straight.
Seth Campbell has kicked 2+ in five of six home games.
Value Bet
We’re battling for value in this match-up of two ordinary teams but Isaac Heeney is worth a bet as something of a saver against our Richmond bet.
Sydney’s only good game over the last month was off the back of a 38-touch, two goal, five behind game by Isaac Heeney against Carlton. If he goes nuts, Sydney could win this well.
