Port have dominated this match-up of two of the more disappointing teams of 2025.
The Power have won nine of their last ten against Sydney, covering the line in seven with an average winning margin of 16 points. No team has been more profitable against the consistently competitive Swans since 2010.
Ken Hinkley’s side have shown signs of life in the last fortnight, knocking off both the Giants and Demons. They’ll be boosted by Jason Horne-Francis being cleared to play, although they lose Aliir Aliir and Ollie Wines to injury.
The Swans will get some much-needed reinforcements, with Errol Gulden set to play his first game of 2025, along with Tom Papley, Joel Amartey and Matt Roberts. While these are big inclusions, it remains to be seen how much immediate impact Gulden and Papley can have after long stints on the sideline.
Port haven’t won a game by more than 25 points since Round 2, so a blowout is unlikely, but they look well placed to extend their strong run over the Swans.
Same Game Multi
We’ll throw in two consistent half-backs in Roberts, who has had 20+ in ten straight, and Rozee, who has had 25+ in nine of ten.
Sam Powell-Pepper has kicked a goal in eight straight at Adelaide Oval.
Value Bet
Four of Port’s last five wins over Sydney have come by fewer than 25 points. With six of the last seven between these teams going under the total, expect this one to remain tight, so a narrow win for the home team looks worth a bet.
