Best Bet

North Melbourne 1-39
Margin

North are the bet in the battle of the battlers.

The Roos actually have a relatively ‘good’ record in WA, winning three of their last six in the west. Given their last five years, that’s cause for a parade down Arden St.

Alastair Clarkson’s team were enjoying a much-better run prior to the bye. They were competitive against the Pies for three quarters, and covered the line in three of their previous four games.

Importantly, they have gone from conceding 116 points in their first six games, ranked last, to just 74 in their last five, ranked fifth. Meanwhile, West Coast have given up 108 points per game in their last five, ranked equal last.

The Eagles were good for the first three quarters against Geelong last week, before the Cats hit their straps and ran out 43 point victors. Their only win this year remains over St Kilda at Optus.

West Coast won a two-point victory over North in the pre-season at this venue, but will be significantly weaker here without Jeremy McGovern, Jake Waterman and Liam Ryan.

A big margin is surely too much to expect from the Roos but back them to get the win.

Same Game Multi

North 1-39. P.Curtis 2+ Goals, C.Daniel 25+ Disposals, R.Maric 20+ Disposals,

Paul Curtis battled against Collingwood last week but his form prior to his suspension was sensational. He’s kicked 2+ in seven of ten.

Caleb Daniel racked up 30 last week and has had 25+ in three of his last four against the Eagles.

Maric 20+ remains a good SGM inclusion, especially with McGovern out, allowing the youngster to take the majority of West Coast’s kick-ins. He had his first 20+ miss since Round 1 last week against Geelong but should hit back.

Value Bet

C.Daniel
30+ Disposals

The former Dog has had 30+ in four of his last ten games and 32+ in two of four interstate games.
