The over and the minus both look strong bets here with the former the top play.
North can’t do much right at the minute but defending is right at the top of the list. They are conceding a ridiculous 117 points per game this season, a full two goals worse than West Coast. Even offensively ordinary teams like Hawthorn and Fremantle are getting in on the fun, each kicking 100+ against the Roos.
Its resulted in five of their six games clearing the total at an average of 189 points per game.
That’s music to Adelaide’s ears. Matty Nicks’ team were the #1 offence in the competition last year but have been well short of that in 2024, currently sitting dead last for points scored. They did, however, kick 100 points against Carlton two weeks back so the potential of a big score remains, especially against a team like North.
With the last eight games at Blundstone going over, back the Crows to click into gear and a monster total to result.
Same Game Multi
North haven’t got close to clearing a line in their last five games. While there is plenty of talent on the park, they are playing a wildly young team who are a mile off AFL standard at present.
As below, Darcy Fogarty loves this match-up. Izak Rankine will be licking his lips too after Dylan Moore made a mess of North’s small defenders last week.
Value Bet
Forgarty is one the competition’s most underwhelming players but he looks like a superstar whenever he plays the Roos. The bullocking forward has only kicked 4+ goals in a game six times in his career and three have come in his last three matches against this opponent.
