It’s a blow losing skipper James Sicily with injury but the advantage the Hawks have down at Launceston shouldn’t be underrated.
The Hawks have won 34 of 45 in Launceston and have covered in 25 of them. They have a terrific record as outsiders, having covered in seven of eleven and caused upsets five times.
Despite Hawthorn’s relative struggles in 2023 they managed to win two of three down there and managed to cover in all three at Launny.
It’s hard to get excited about the Saints either. Their wins have come over North, Richmond and that weird early round version of Collingwood. They haven’t been a good favourite in 2024, only covering in one of three when favoured by the bookies.
The Hawks are an excellent bet with the points here.
