The Dockers have dominated the Hawks in recent years, but need to overcome Hawthorn’s phenomenal record in Launceston.

Hawthorn were poor against the Cats last week but can bounce back at their home away from home where they have an outstanding record.
Even in their recent poor years the Hawks have been a tough out in Launceston, having won seven and lost three down there since the start of 2022.
The Hawks had covered in eight straight prior to their loss in Geelong. Their ball movement was poor there, but the experienced Cats are capable of taking that away when playing well, and the absence of James Sicily (back here) was telling.
There is not much to fault in the Dockers recent form, but apart from their win over Sydney their away wins this year aren’t that impressive, being North, Richmond, Melbourne (in Alice Springs) and St Kilda.
Just a month ago they got smashed by the Dogs at Marvel, so it is hard to know what to make of them.
With limited confidence, the Hawks with the points are the bet in this one.
