This is a chips-in job on the Suns.
Darwin has become one of the biggest home ground advantages in the league, with Gold Coast 7-0 at TIO Stadium, covering the line in every game and winning by an average of 35 points. Three of those wins came against top eight sides.
The Hawks have rested their No. 1 ruckman Lloyd Meek, which won’t help a midfield already ranked mid-table for clearances, contested possessions and hitouts in 2025. That’s not the profile to challenge the Suns, who sit top four in all three categories.
Suns games in Darwin have been shootouts, averaging 189 total points. Jack Gunston’s absence hurts a Hawks forward line already lacking tall options. With Gold Coast leading the league in scoring at 112 points per game, the visitors may struggle to keep up in a high-scoring game.
With the home team covering the line in seven straight between these sides, back the Suns to win this comfortably.
Same Game Multi
Ben Long has only kicked 1.2 in each of his last two games, but had kicked 2+ in five of his six previous games.
Noah Anderson has had 25+ touches in 10 of his last 12, and 27 of 30 when the Suns are favourites.
John Noble has been a terrific pick-up for the Suns, and is averaging 25 touches a game this year.
Value Bet
The Suns have won four of seven games in Darwin by 40+ points, including a 64-point win last year against a very good team in Geelong. This is an excellent price to see if they can do it again.
