This could get very ugly for the Eagles.
West Coast were dismantled by 128 points against Sydney last week and their other game against quality opposition was a 59-point loss to Gold Coast in Round 1.
As discussed last week, the Eagles look a completely different team without Elliot Yeo and their recent form against better sides has been alarming, covering in just 18 of 45 against top eight teams. Their recent record away from home is awful too, losing by an average of 54 points in their last 33 games on the road.
Geelong have won their last four against West Coast by an average of 67 points and Norwood Oval’s narrow dimensions are very similar to GMHBA Stadium, so the Cats will feel right at home.
Take the Cats to win big.
Same Game Multi
Shannon Neale has gone 4, 0 and 5 in his last three games and should get a very favourable match-up here with Jeremy Cameron the primary target to shut down. West Coast have struggled badly to contain key forwards all season.
Ollie Henry has kicked six goals in three games this year and is another aerial marking option who will test a West Coast backline already under serious pressure.
Value Bet
Neale has two bags in his last three games and is in better form than Cameron right now. The Eagles have conceded six goals to Nick Larkey, five to Ben King, four to Isaac Heeney, and four to Charlie Curnow already this season, so someone should fill their boots here. Neale looks the best play of the Cats forwards.
