The Dockers resurgence has been driven by their defence and this is a sustainable way of playing. They are cautious with their ball movement and minimise scores allowed from turnovers. Freo have only conceded 44.7 inside 50s per game, the fewest in the competition.
Geelong on the other hand have been an offensive juggernaut. Their aggressive ball movement has seen them put up huge scores at times. However, they have been vulnerable to teams with speed and this is how Fremantle can exploit them.
The loss of ruckman Sean Darcy and forward Matt Taberner hurts the Dockers, and while an upset might be out of reach they look an excellent bet with almost four goals head start.
