AFL Tips – Geelong v Fremantle – Round 7 2022

Fremantle can keep this close.

Best Bet

Fremantle +22.5 ($1.90)

Fremantle have a diabolical record at Kardinia Park but they are a much improved side in 2022 and look capable of keeping this one close.

The Dockers resurgence has been driven by their defence and this is a sustainable way of playing. They are cautious with their ball movement and minimise scores allowed from turnovers. Freo have only conceded 44.7 inside 50s per game, the fewest in the competition.

Geelong on the other hand have been an offensive juggernaut. Their aggressive ball movement has seen them put up huge scores at times. However, they have been vulnerable to teams with speed and this is how Fremantle can exploit them.

The loss of ruckman Sean Darcy and forward Matt Taberner hurts the Dockers, and while an upset might be out of reach they look an excellent bet with almost four goals head start.

Same Game Multi

Dockers +22.5 / W.Brodie 20+ Disposals / A.Brayshaw 25+ Disposals / O.Dempsey 1+ Goal ($4.30)

Brodie and Brayshaw have been outstanding for the Dockers this year while young forward Oliver Dempsey impressed on debut for the Cats and should be able to hit the scoreboard again.

Value Bet

Oliver Dempsey 2+ Goals ($3.90)

Dempsey showed plenty on debut against North Melbourne last week and he is a genuine small forward who should spend plenty of time deep inside 50.
