The second game of the Good Friday double header will be played in Perth, where the Dockers will be hosting the Crows.
Best Bet
Adelaide are a much better team than they have shown in the first two rounds and can open their account here against Freo.
While the Crows had their colours lowered last week by Geelong, there were some positive signs in the win. They dominated the clearance and inside 50 count, with only their connection inside 50 – and Tom Stewart – stopping them.
The midfield battle will be interesting to watch as well. Both teams have players that win big numbers of disposals without necessarily being the most damaging.
Freo have started the season well with two wins but they have been extremely slow starters in both of those games. They also continue to battle injuries in defence, something Adelaide are much better positioned to exploit than the Roos were last week.
Much has been made of Adelaide’s poor record interstate and while it’s true they have only won five of eighteen since 2021, their record against the line is much better, having covered in eleven of those games.
The Crows are outperforming expectations on the road and eventually the wins will come – starting at Optus Stadium on Friday night.
Same Game Multi
Tex Walker made a solid return last week with 2.2 for the Crows while for the Dockers Luke Jackson has been spending time forward as well as in the ruck, and has multiple snags in each game.
Dockers defender Luke Ryan’s numbers explode at home.
Value Bet
Not the biggest price here but keen on the Crows to cause an upset here for the aforementioned reasons.
Ryan had 33 in Round 1 and went over 30 in four of his twelve games at Optus Stadium last year.
