The Pies should dominate on ANZAC Day.
Collingwood -13.5 ($1.90)
Collingwood are far better than their 2-3 record suggests and should be too good for a hapless Essendon.
The Pies have lost three straight after winning their first two but those losses have come by 13, 13 and 7. Their wins over Adelaide and St Kilda now look more impressive.
Despite being down on personnel they pushed Brisbane all the way last week, going down by seven points.
Contrast this with the Bombers, who have rightfully been lashed in the media for a lack of accountability and team defence.
The number of metrics the Bombers rank last for is too long to list, but suffice to say that an ANZAC Day turnaround is highly unlikely.
The Pies are an outstanding play on ANZAC Day.
Same Game Multi
Collingwood -13.5 / S. Pendlebury, J. De Goey 25+ Disposals / B. Mihocek 2+ Goals ($6.50)
Pendlebury attended 81% of centre bounces last week against the Lions, signifying a greater midfield role. De Goey attended 87%. They should get plenty of ball against an Essendon side that has been smashed in contested footy and clearances.
ANZAC Day Medal – Nick Daicos ($15)
Daicos has been sensational in his debut year – he leads the Pies for disposals – and there is a long history of young and inexperienced players claiming this award.
