AFL Tips – Collingwood v North Melbourne – Round 17 2022

Collingwood vs North Melbourne - Expert AFL Tips

More pain is on the way for the abysmal Roos on Saturday at the ‘G.

Best Bet

Collingwood -55.5
Line

North Melbourne are a historically bad football team and are an automatic bet against at present.

The Roos have now failed to cover the spread in 10 of their last 11 games. They are the only team in VFL/AFL history to lose 11 straight by more than 40+ points. They have conceded 100+ points in every game since Round 4.

This team isn’t narrowly missing the line either, failing to cover by an average of four goals in their 15 losses. The betting lines are just never long enough.

The news gets worse for North with experienced defenders Aaron Hall and Kayne Turner both set to miss. They’ll be big omissions against a Magpies side with plenty of small and medium goal kicking threats including Jamie Elliot, Ollie Henry and Jack Ginnivan.

Collingwood have won six-straight games and covered in four of their last six. They’ve won six of their last eight against North and covered in three straight at the MCG.

They should have no trouble putting a 10-goal margin on the Roos.

Same Game Multi

Collingwood -55.5, J.Ginnivan & O.Henry 2+ Goals, N.Daicos 25+ Disposals

Both Jack Ginnivan and Ollie Henry should get plenty of opportunity against a North team missing the aforementioned Hall and Turner. Ginnivan is coming off three goals last week while Ollie Henry has scored 2+ in four of his last six games.

Nick Daicos has recorded 25+ in four straight games.

Value Bet

Nick Daicos
35+ Disposals

Juicy price on offer for the Rising Star favourite to bag 35+ touches for the third time in five weeks against the worst team in the comp. I wouldn’t talk you out of backing him for 40+ for the first time in his career at a massive price either.
