With both sides in the thick of the finals race it should be an exciting clash when the Magpies meet the Cats on Friday night at the MCG.
Best Bet
Now that the forecast looks clear, the over shapes as one of the best bets of Round 18.
Collingwood’s defence has been extremely poor of late. While a lot of attention has focused on skipper Darcy Moore, it is the whole team that has been poor in this area.
As a result, the last five weeks have seen the Pies concede more than 92 points in four games, with the exception being against the inaccurate Demons.
This is bad news against a Cats team that has topped the ton in back to back weeks, and frankly looks a lot more potent without Tom Hawkins.
Defensively the Cats have been inconsistent, but away from Kardinia Park they have allowed some big scores, including 138 to the Blues just three weeks ago.
Despite some key personnel missing the Pies have been highly consistent on offence, posting at least 80 points in the last five weeks.
There is also a history of high scoring games between these two sides, with both sides scoring more than 100 points in both of their meetings last year, leading to totals of 210 and 228.
With the weather not expected to influence the game, there should be plenty of points on offer.
The over is a great bet in this one.

Same Game Multi
Josh Daicos does his best work on the wide open expanses of the MCG and is well capable of hitting 25 here.
Gary Rohan and Bobby Hill looks the best value of the goal kickers.
Value Bet
Tom Stewart has been playing a much different role in the last couple of weeks, spending a lot more time up the ground. A beautiful kick, he had two behinds last week and a goal (or two) should happen for him soon.
