Best Bet
The Pies have a strong record against the Crows and at the MCG, so it’s hard to see them losing this one, even if it’s close.
Collingwood have won nine straight against Adelaide, with the last four decided by margins between 1 and 39 points. They’ve also won eight of their last nine at the MCG, with the only loss coming by three points to Geelong two weeks ago.
They’ve been excellent defensively this season, but Craig McRae’s side faces a tough challenge here. Adelaide’s tall forward trio of Thilthorpe, Fogarty and Walker will be a major threat, especially with Darcy Moore sidelined.
Lachie Schultz will also miss, but the Pies are set to regain experienced heads in Brayden Maynard, Scott Pendlebury and Brody Mihocek.
Adelaide have made big strides in 2025, but they’ve yet to show they can match it with the top teams. They’ve played three sides currently in the top eight, beating GWS (8th) but falling to Gold Coast (4th) and Geelong (7th).
Collingwood are arguably the form team of the competition. While containing Adelaide’s key forwards will be a challenge, the Pies should still come away with the win.
Same Game Multi
Josh Daicos on the MCG is an automatic SGM inclusion. He’s had 25+ in seven straight.
Ben Keays has kicked four goals in his last two games.
Value Bet
Three of Collingwood’s seven wins have come by fewer than 20 points. We expect them to be too good for Adelaide, but with a query over their ability to defend the Adelaide talls, this could be close.
