Carlton have no business being 12-point favourites against anyone outside the bottom four right now.
The Blues have lost seven of their last eight and failed to cover the line in six of their last seven as a home favourite.
Just seven weeks ago these sides met in Adelaide, where Port smashed Carlton by 50 points. The Power dominated clearance, scoring 52 points to 19 from that source.
Both teams have injury issues since then. The Blues are without Cerra, Curnow and Silvagni, while Port are missing Horne-Francis, Bergman, Ratugolea and Powell-Pepper.
This game taking place at Marvel and not the MCG is a huge boost for the visitors. Port love this venue, covering in 11 of 13 at the venue, while the Blues have done so in only five of 13.
Port were impressive last week against Fremantle, leading at three-quarter time before falling just short against the likely finalist. Carlton were poor against Gold Coast, trailing by 45 at the last change before a late rally flattered the final margin.
A ten-goal turnaround from seven weeks ago is hard to see. Port are a confident bet.
Same Game Multi
Mitch Georgiades has kicked 12 in his last three against Carlton, while Ollie Wines has had 25+ in five straight games and Kane Farrell 20+ in five straight.
Value Bet
Big Mitch loves playing the Blues. He booted 5.2 against the Blues back in Round 16, and seven combined in his previous two games.
