One of Essendon’s main problems this season has been defence. They concede a goal from 28.4% of opponents inside 50s, the highest rate in the league.
There are more problems than that though. The Bombers butcher the footy going inside 50, which makes it easy for defenders. They then struggle to defend the opposition taking the ball end to end.
