AFL Tips – Adelaide v Richmond – Round 5 2022

The 2018 Grand Final rematch can produce a different result.

Best Bet

Adelaide +5.5 ($1.90)

Adelaide with the small head start looks a great bet.

The Tigers defence is a real concern. They have given up 100+ in two of their four games and would have given up much more last week if the Dogs kicked straight (they finished with 7.19).

Richmond have managed to overcome this by being particularly efficient when they get the ball inside their own 50 but this is not a sustainable way to play.

Richmond are the worst team in the league for clearance differential and ranked 15th for inside 50 differential.

This is a particular concern this week as Adelaide is the number one team in the league for scores from clearances, averaging 41.8 points per game.

With Taylor Walker back in the fold, the Crows look capable of putting up points , and have cleared the 90 point line in the last two games.

Three of the Crows four games have come down to a goal or less this year.

Same Game Multi

Adelaide +5.5 / R. Sloane 20+ / M. Crouch 25+ / R. Laird 30+ Disposals ($4.25)

Richmond is the second worst team in the league for clearance differential so backing the Crows prime movers to feast looks a sound strategy.

Value Bet

Taylor Walker 5+ Goals ($6.00)

Walker looked in superb nick when returning last week against Essendon and kicked 4.3 in this fixture last year despite the Crows losing.
