Adelaide Oval hosts a genuinely 50-50 contest on Friday night, but the form lines point firmly in Fremantle’s direction heading into this one.

Best Bet
The visitors look a really good bet as slight outsiders here.
Fremantle hold a 5-2 record over Adelaide since 2019 and have covered the line in six of those seven meetings.
The Crows’ rise up the ladder hasn’t meant they have been dominating good opposition. Since the start of 2025, they are only 7-7 against top eight teams and have covered in just two of nine against top eight teams at home.
Adelaide get some injury relief with Jordan Dawson and Tex Walker returning, but their key defensive stocks have taken a real hit with Jordan Butts joining Mark Keane on the sidelines. They could be exposed in defence by Fremantle’s strong key forward trio of Josh Treacy, Jye Amiss and Patrick Voss, plus ruck-forward Luke Jackson. The veteran Reilly O’Brien returns in the ruck but faces a difficult night against Sean Darcy and Jackson.
Fremantle have looked much stronger offensively this year, winning their last two games convincingly and scoring an average of 103 points, up from 81 on average last year. Adelaide haven’t been bad through three games but are really struggling to move the ball, ranked last for transitioning it from back 50 to the forward 50.
The Dockers look to have fewer questions to answer early in 2026 and are the pick here.
Same Game Multi
Josh Treacy has been arguably the competition’s most dangerous tall forward through the opening rounds, even if he has been a little inaccurate, and with the Crows’ injury issues down back, he could fill up here.
Isaiah Dudley has been a revelation in 2026, kicking seven goals in three games.
Shai Bolton has been in outstanding touch over the last fortnight, recording 30 or more disposals in each of his last two games.
Value Bet
Patrick Voss is another who could feast on Adelaide’s key defensive injuries. He has had 10 shots at goal this season for just two majors, but historically converts at 53% and should start finding the big sticks more regularly. He has also kicked three or more in three of his last four away games.
