Our approach to Brisbane games stays the same. Back them as underdogs, steer clear when they’re favourites.
The trend is hard to ignore. The Lions have covered the line in 10 of their last 11 as outsiders but just once in their last 12 as favourites.
Their form has been a little up and down, but they’ve shown up against quality opposition. They’re 3-1 from four games against top-eight teams, with wins over Geelong, Hawthorn and Gold Coast.
The Crows haven’t been as convincing. They’re 1-4 against top-eight teams this season, with losses to Collingwood, Geelong, the Suns and Fremantle.
History also points to a tight one. The last three meetings between these sides have been decided by an average margin of six points, including a draw.
With Brisbane getting close to a double-digit head start, they look the better play.
Same Game Multi
Some better value to be found in the smalls here.
Izak Rankine had been spending more time forward in recent weeks and has kicked 2+ in three straight against Brisbane.
Aften an injury-affected first half of the season, Kai Lohmann finally hit the scoreboard last week against Essendon, booting three. He remains a good price for two.
Will Ashcroft has had 26+ in six straight.
Value Bet
As mentioned, the last three between these teams have been very close, with Brisbane running out victor in two (plus the draw). None of Adelaide’s four defeats have come by more than 19 points in 2025.
If this is close again, then the visitors are a good chance to pull off the victory. The Lions are 13-7 in games decided by 20 points or fewer since the start of 2024, while the Crows are just 5-13.
